Who we are

Fluent Terrain LLC (“Fluent Terrain”) is the parent and holding company for a portfolio of technology products. Fluent Terrain owns the code, brands, and intellectual property that its operating companies license. The operating companies, rather than Fluent Terrain, run the products within their terrains.

This policy covers information that Fluent Terrain handles on fluentterrain.com. Each operating company is responsible for the products it operates and may provide an additional product specific notice. FinArctic LLC operates Iglu, GlacialBooks, and TaxTundra.

Iglu waitlist responsibility

FinArctic LLC is the data controller for Iglu waitlist submissions. The Iglu form on the Fluent Terrain portfolio page sends the submitted email address, verification token, source information, and optional product update preference directly to the FinArctic waitlist endpoint at app.finarctic.com. Fluent Terrain does not keep a separate copy of the submitted email address in a waitlist database.

Fluent Terrain may measure page views and form interactions on its portfolio page using its privacy filtered site analytics. Those events do not include the submitted email address, confirmation token, financial data, or free text. FinArctic is responsible for the waitlist record and confirmation flow after the submission reaches its endpoint.

• Contact and partnership submissions: Name, email address, inquiry type, and message content when you use a Fluent Terrain contact or partnership form.
• Resource requests: The information requested when you ask Fluent Terrain to send or provide access to a resource.

• Usage data: Pages visited and interaction events used to understand and improve the site.
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, and general device characteristics.
• Log data: IP address, access time, and referring URL processed by our hosting and security providers.

How information is used

Fluent Terrain uses information it handles on fluentterrain.com to:

FinArctic uses Iglu waitlist information to:

• Comply with legal obligations that apply to the waitlist.

Product account and financial data

fluentterrain.com does not collect Iglu account or financial data through the waitlist. If Iglu later collects account or financial data as part of the product, FinArctic will describe that processing in the notice that applies to the product experience. Iglu consumer money data is not treated as the shared business ledger used by connected bookkeeping and tax workflows.

Data sharing

Fluent Terrain does not sell personal information. It discloses site data only:

• To service providers: Providers that support hosting, security, analytics, email delivery, and form processing under obligations to protect the data.
• At your direction: When you choose to submit information to an operating company through a clearly identified product integration.
• For legal requirements: When disclosure is required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

Submitting the Iglu waitlist form on fluentterrain.com sends the information directly to FinArctic for the waitlist purpose described above. It does not create a second Fluent Terrain waitlist record.

Data security

Fluent Terrain applies security measures to the information it handles on this site, including encryption in transit, access controls, and security reviews. FinArctic is responsible for securing the Iglu waitlist endpoint and record. See our Security page for more information about portfolio standards.

Data retention

Fluent Terrain retains site information only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, security, or legal obligations. FinArctic determines the retention of Iglu waitlist records and handles requests concerning those records.

Your rights
